About Us
DP Firth Transport Limited is a family run business established over 20 years. Dane, a Director of the company, originally worked for Transcold North West owned by Kevin Kelly. Dane was employed as a driver/mechanic from 1990 until Kevin's retirement in 1998 wherein an opportunity arose for Dane to purchase the company.
For the first couple of years Dane continued running the business as Transcold North West and eventually increased his fleet and added moffetts to some of the vehicles/trailers. He also expanded into warehousing which resulted in the company requiring larger premises. All drivers are ADR & fork lift truck/Moffett trained. Dane later opened a commercial vehicle repair and MOT station for class 1,2,4,5 &7 under the name of DPF Motor Services having had experience working as a mechanic for Transcold North West and previous to that, working in the commercial bodybuilding industry.
In January 2006 Dane changed the company name to DP Firth Transport Limited and has continued to provide a comprehensive range of transport and warehousing services together with vehicle maintenance support for both the company's vehicles and customer's vehicles of DPF Motor Services. This comprehensive range of services has led to continued and sustained growth, making DP Firth Transport one of the premier providers of logistical support in the UK, yet still retaining care and attention to detail of a family run business.
